Well Google has fulfilled its another promise. Google promised to bring Lens to image search — now, the feature is live in the US for English language queries. The object recognition technology can help you find out more about particular items within a photo you’re looking at. Google determine and energetically organized results, the company is making information lookup more visual with Stories and featured videos. Google Lens is also coming to Google Images, with that integration now rolling out.
So, if you want to try it out, do a Google search on mobile and go to the Images tab. You want to look for any word, simply search for it. Then go to Images and tap on one of the results. There you will see new Lens icon underneath the photo next to the Share option.
The Story
Well every picture in the mobile web version of Google Images now features a Google Lens icon underneath. If Lens has already identified objects of interest, the button will feature a badge that notes how many items were found in the photo. While pressing the Lens icon will highlight the interesting subjects with dots, with tapping an item sliding up a panel of related images or products. If what you’re looking at isn’t already marked, you can simply circle it and Lens will perform a visual search.
Google Images aims to give more quality visual content to its users. This feature means integrating video to allow users to have a better context of searched or searching material. Featured videos will be able to show videos related to your image. Besides that this will help to make your own stories, change in algorithm and you can have more tags for your content.
Google Images is one of Google’s most extensively used tools. And with Google Lens integration, it becomes an even more effective visual search tool that provides us quality content beyond images. Initially this feature is available is USA only, while in future it will be available for other countries as well.
